How ReguMe Uses Content
ReguMe:
- Does NOT host social media videos
- Does NOT copy or store video files
- Links to original content on social media platforms
- Displays publicly available metadata (thumbnails, descriptions)
- Extracts text-based protocols from video transcripts
- Attributes all content to original creators
Attribution Provided:
- Creator names and usernames
- Links to original videos
- Platform information
- Follower counts and engagement metrics
If You Believe Your Rights Were Infringed
If you believe content in ReguMe infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice.
1. Send a DMCA Notice

Your notice must include:
- Your contact information
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Mailing address
- Description of copyrighted work
- What work was infringed
- Where the original work is located
- Location of infringing content
- Specific URL or location in ReguMe app
- Screenshots if helpful
- Statement of good faith belief
- "I have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law."
- Statement of accuracy
- "I declare, under penalty of perjury, that the information in this notice is accurate and that I am the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner."
- Your signature
- Physical or electronic signature
2. We Will Respond
Timeline: Within 5-10 business days
Actions we may take:
- Review your claim for validity
- Remove content if claim is valid
- Notify the user who uploaded it (if applicable)
- Request additional information if needed
Counter-Notice
If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notice.
Submit a Counter-Notice

Your counter-notice must include:
- Your contact information (name, email, phone, address)
- Identification of removed content and where it appeared
- Statement of good faith belief
- "I have a good faith belief that the content was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification."
- Consent to jurisdiction
- "I consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which my address is located."
- Statement of acceptance
- "I will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notice."
- Your signature
What Happens Next
- We forward your counter-notice to the original complainant
- They have 10-14 business days to file a court action
- If no action is filed, we may restore the content
Repeat Infringers
ReguMe has a policy of terminating accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. Users who repeatedly violate copyright will have their accounts suspended or terminated.
Fair Use
ReguMe may rely on fair use principles for certain uses of copyrighted content, including:
- Transformative use: Extracting protocols from videos for organizational purposes
- Attribution and linking: Providing proper credit and links to original sources
- Educational purposes: Organizing health information for user education
- Metadata display: Showing publicly available thumbnails and descriptions
Fair use is determined on a case-by-case basis considering factors like purpose, nature, amount used, and market effect.
